Rio – India’s PV Sindhu today 19th August 2016 created history by winning a silver medal in women’s singles badminton event at Rio Olympics 2016 here at Riocentro Pavilion.

In an interview Sindhu said, “What do I say?”, “I’m on cloud nine. It’s been a surprisingly great week. I played well, I had some great matches and now, I am Olympic silver medalist.”

Her match was against world champion and the way she fought for the medal was a treat to watch. After her thrilling win in the 1st set against Carolina Marin(Rio Olympic Gold Medalist) Sindhu lost her way and had to satisfy with the silver circle. She might have lost gold, but she surely had won a billion hearts and a silver medal for her country.
